This new 64,000 sf, single story Elementary School for grades K through 5 is being built in phases to accommodate School District fund allocation limits. CM Company is providing Preconstruction and Construction Management Services for each of the four phases. Phase 1 and 2 encompassed site development and a main classroom building. Phase 3 added a gymnasium, cafeteria and administration offices, along with a building shell for a future classroom wing. Finally, Phase 4 includes the build out of the added classroom wing. CM Company worked with the School District to plan site safety, security and construction layout to accommodate an occupied campus and provide safe and secure separation of construction and school activities. The nature of the phased construction allowed us to assign portions of the carpentry work to the District’s Professional Technical Education Program. CM Company worked with program instructors and district administration to plan and oversee the PTE Students as they provided layout and construction of the interior wood framed walls at the future classroom wing. This opportunity allowed CM Company to participate in a program that will help bring experienced and talented workers into our industry.
