The project includes structural upgrades to existing elements, new mechanical and electrical systems, and a state of the art audio visual and technological infrastructure.
The 4,787 sf library renovation and addition was completed in November 2014. Since the project is centrally located within the existing classroom building, CM worked closely with the architect and BK staff to plan the demolition and build back of this unique addition.
The addition replaces an exterior courtyard which was excavated and structurally backfilled to support new construction. Existing footings were carefully exposed in order to place addtional footings beneath them. The project also includes structural and electrical systems and state of the art audio visual and technological infrastructure.
