Critical negotiations took place between CM Company and the Oregon Department of Transportation to allow for the tower crane placement adjacent to the Marcum bridge.
CM Company, Inc. has a strong relationship with this Seattle based holel developer/operator, Inn Ventures. This 255 suite 9-story hotel also contains an integral parking structure of 3 levels (130 spaces), indoor swimming pool and a conference center was completed in 2001.
Challenges: The buiding site is an old saw mill site with 40′ of saw dust over burden with no structural capacity. The site conditions required drving 550 pilings to support the structure. The building structure is cast-in-place, post tension concrete with masonry and synthetic stucco exterior skin.
CM Company, Inc. worked closely with the owner and his design team in development of the design documents and budgeting to help achieve the necessary budget.
