Description: CM Company, Inc. was retained by the Meridian School District to construct a new 85,235 sf single story Math and Science Magnet School. A wood truss roof structure was utilized throughout this project. This school will service students from kindergarten through eighth grades. This school emphasizes math and science while still providing instruction in all subjects. A Construction Management approach was used to facilitate the bidding and project construction.
CM Company, Inc. worked closely with the Architect and Owner’s representatives to budget, bid and manage the project.

Structure: Galileo School is constructed with load bearing masonry walls, on-grade concrete floor slabs and a wood frame roof structure.
Challenges:Due to a short construction schedule the preparation of the 10.3 acre site and building pad was performed before obtaining the building permit.
