The Idaho Youth Education Recycling Partnership or YERP started in 2007 as an initiative to improve our community and raise funds for Idaho children.

How it works:
– YERP supplies containers to collect metal scrap.
– Pick up  throw-away metal such as construction materials, junk cars or copper wire.
– Drop the recycling material off at Pacific Steel & Recycling, tell them you’d like to donate to the John William Jackson Fund.
– You’ll receive a tax-deductable receipt for the value of the recycled material & you will see the impact of your generosity on Idaho Youth through the John William Jackson Fund.

Remember. Rethink. Reuse. Recycle.
Repeat Relentlessly.

In 2008, YERP started to see the enormous potential of this innovative fundraising program.  The brainchild of Bill “Action” Jackson, Vice President of Development and our friends at Pacific Steel and Recycling, this partnership has generated over $175,000.00 to-date from recycling alone.

Annual Recycling funraising numbers:

  • 2007 – $7,603.00
  • 2008  – $11,433.74
  • 2009 – $20,938.45
  • 2010 – $50,716.00
  • 2011 – $85,214.03
  • 2012 – $57,737.35 (thru September 2012)

Rather than heading to the landfill, this program diverts this material to recycling – from which our environment and youth benefit.

CM Company, Inc. began participating in the program in 2008, and are pleased to be a partner of such a rewarding program.  We are pleased to announce that CM Company, Inc. recieved the ‘2011 DISTINGUISHED ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP AWARD’ – PLATINUM LEVEL’ and ‘iYERP’s 2012 Environmental Stewardship Award’ from the Idaho Youth Educational Recycling Partnership.
