Meridian High School Classroom Renovations - Phases 1 - 6

The thirty year old, Meridian High School Classroom Building was renovated in phases.

The thirty year old, Meridian High School Classroom Building was renovated in phases to accommodate yearly funding disbursements from the District’s existing plant facilities levy.   The project is planned to take up to five more years to complete under this current arrangement.  However, if the District’s upcoming bond election passes, the work could be done within three years.  The project includes major infrastructure upgrades, enlarging classrooms, updating science labs, and administration offices, building a new library, special education classrooms, restrooms and the addition of a new 8-classroom building.  When completed, the school will accommodate 2,200 students, up from 1,800.

CM Company worked closely with the District personnel and design team to provide phasing, estimates and bidding strategies so each phase falls within the allotted yearly fund disbursement.    Part of this work includes planning for and developing alternative “swing space” classrooms as we displace students during each subsequent phase.

CM’s team was in constant communication with local authorities, school personnel and trade contractors to assure our plans for campus safety and security, utility shut downs and fire prevention during construction are adhered to as the campus is fully occupied during construction.
